Granton Surgery was established in 1905 and has been a training practice for 30 years. We have 8600 patients mostly living in owner occupied houses but there are also a number of warden controlled and residential homes. Many of our patients work at Cadburys, Birmingham University or local hospitals.

We have been involved with Medical Student teaching (Firm One) for the past five years which has been beneficial and enjoyable. The students have their own purpose built facilities with computers, extensive library and teaching equipment which can also benefit the registrar.

The practice runs clinics for paediatric screening, diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular disease. We have physiotherapy1, psychology and chiropody services and our district nurses and health visitor are also based here.

All of the partners are fully committed to general practice but have different areas of interest. These include occupational health1, family planning, minor surgery and financial planning... tutorials are given appropriately!
